LG Germany’s facebook page has recently announced that the LG G3 will get an Android 5.0 Lollipop update at some point in the fourth quarter of the year which hopefully means we will see it before the end of this year.
We would like to inform you herewith that there is a 5.0 upgrade for the LG Lollipop G3 will be released in the fourth quarter of 2014. Android. The upgrade package for the LG G2 will follow.
As always these updates will roll out in stages and will usually roll out to unlocked devices first, followed by carrier-specific models if there are any in Australia, which may see it drag out to next year.
The LG G2 is also scheduled to get the update however they actual time-frame is unknown at this stage, but more than likely sometime in Q1 2015.
It will be interesting to see how Lollipop looks and performs in conjunction with LG’s UI compared to vanilla Android devices.
Is anyone looking forward to the Lollipop update on the G3 or are you just waiting to get your hands on an Nexus 6?
Just hoping this update will include the lollipop-style navigation buttons (triangle, circle, square). It’s the most minor pet peeve that the G3’s home button is slightly different from the stock Android one.
Good stuffs.
