HTC is rolling out the Eye Experience software update – which also carries with it the update to Android 4.4.4 – to Australian One M8 units. The update is slated to eventually hit the One M7 and M8, as well as the Mini versions of those phones (One Mini and One Mini 2).
Vodafone was actually first off the mark with the update last week, while some Optus users are reporting that they’ve received the update today. Telstra’s last handset updates post said they were expecting the update to roll out from December 1. If you bought your phone outright at retail, you should expect the update soon too (if you haven’t already received it).
The Eye Experience software update brings HTC’s newest photography software to their 2014 flagship phone. It includes improvements to HTC’s camera software like smile detection, voice-activated selfies, face tracking, dual front/back camera captures, a photo booth mode and more. All up, it should make capturing your favourite moments more enjoyable and make them easier to share. You can find out more on the HTC site.
