Australian Radio Network (ARN) has today begun pushing out an update for its iHeartRadio app on Google Play, bringing some material design along with improved search functions and simplified controls.
ARN is boasting that the new iHeartRadio app offers users even more ways to discover and enjoy the music they love. The app basically allows users to listen all of the ARN radio networks around Australia (ie: KissFM, MixFM, Gold/WSFM) but also allows users to personalise their own radio station either via artists, genre’s or just single tracks themselves.
There is also a new ‘For you’ feature which includes a genre selection tool for improved station recommendations, tailored specifically for each individual user.
The iHeartRadio app has been downloaded over 500,000 devices so far, a fact they are rather pleased with. Geriant Davies, COO of iHeartRadio Australia said
We know our listeners are going to love the new iHeartRadio App. It looks amazing , is so easy to use and has a range of features that offer our listeners an even more personalised iHeartRadio experience with access to even more of the music and artists they want.
ARN also along with this announcement, has announced their decision to purchase Perth’s 96FM, which will complete the KissFM Network around Australia, with the remaining MixFM stations converting to the new brand early in the new year, strengthening the iHeartRadio experience for users.
The update is being distributed to users through Google Play now. If you’re interested in checking out iHeartRadio, check it out on Google Play now.
