We’ve heard rumours that HTC might be doing something worthy of Desire at the upcoming CES 2015 trade-show in Las Vegas, but this morning we stumbled across this little gem. HTC’s rumoured upcoming device has been given the codename Hima, but as yet, no photos have leaked… that is, until today er no, they still haven’t leaked.
It is claimed that the device pictured above is HTC’s One M9 (aka Hima), and it certainly doesn’t look half bad. Slim, minimal bezels, and nice chrome speaker grilles. The speakers and bezels define this device; toned down and looking fabulous. Of course, this all assumes that the leak is real, but we won’t know that for a little while yet. Ed: We do know, these pictures aren’t leaks, they’re concept renders from a month or two ago. Whoops!
What we do know is a little bit about specifications. HTC Hima is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB RAM, a 13 megapixel front and 20.7 megapixel camera, 2,840mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop. Over the past few days, there have been conflicting reports about the display. We’re not clear on whether this smartphone has a 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution Quad HD or a full 1080p HD display.
Will we see the Hima at CES next week? Don’t know. It’s certainly on the rumour list, as well as an updated Desire handset, and possibly HTC’s first wearable device.
If HTC are moving away from their UltraPixel cameras, it might be enough to lure me back to their brand. Currently preferring Sony to HTC.
lol no c’mon ausdroid, do some fact checking. This is a concept from November by Jermaine Smit.
I’ve NEVER understood why companies (phones, cars etc…) come up with absolutely gorgeous mock renders, but then end up with a far crappier final product. Why NOT make something absolutely gorgeous? It’s what the buyers want!
Months-old concept image. Still looks amazing would drop a deuce in my pants if it turned out to be something like that.
That mock up looks pretty nice, but quite unrealistic.
$95 an hour! Seriously I don’t know why more people haven’t tried this, I work two shifts, 2 hours in the day and 2 in the evening…And what’s awesome is I’m working from home so I get more time with my kids. Heres where I went, ,,,..,,
