CES 2015 has shown itself to be the year of Android Auto for manufacturers. We’ve already seen products that are Android Auto compatible from Parrot, Kenwood, Pioneer and Volkswagen. All with their own pros and cons from the relatively little information we’ve seen to date.
Next to say me too is Panasonic with their effort which was on display at CES, compatible with both Android Auto and Car Play. Unfortunately Ausdroid hasn’t been able to get a presence on the ground at CES this year, but Android Central have and they managed to get a few fleeting moments hands on with the Panasonic unit.
Very little by way of specs is known about this at the moment, availability and pricing is also something of a mystery but hopefully they’re smart enough to make it in reach of the average consumers price point.
The battle lines have been drawn, who will you side with in the Android Auto war?
hope to see a single din version soon
Panasonic manufactures MyLink headunits in Holden’s post 2013 cars like VF commodore, Cruze Etc. it would be nice to see this implemented in the Commodores
