Google has updated one of its productivity apps, with Google Docs has received a small update today that brings a couple of new (though minor) features. What we’re seeing is support for cutting, copying, and pasting text, images, and tables in Office Compatibility mode. Additionally, you’ll now have the ability to insert links into Google documents.
The official changelog from Google is as brief as our story:

- Ability to insert links in Google documents
It isn’t much, but if you’re doing a lot of work with Microsoft Word format documents, this update will be a welcome improvement. You can grab the update on the Play Store today.

I’m amazed they have the balls to trumpet this as a new feature: “Ability to insert links in Google documents”. Do what?!? They should be ashamed it was never there before. Just how rubbish is Google Docs compared to MS Office if it couldn’t do basic things like this and “copying and pasting text”?
