As rumoured, Motorola has today launched their Moto Maker service for their Android Wear watch – the Moto 360. The announcement was made in the wee hours of this morning on the Motorola blog, which described a range of options available through the service.
Much as the Moto Maker service for phones is about letting your own personal style shine through, Moto Maker for the Moto 360 also lets users customise their watch with a choice of three different case finishes : dark metal, light metal or champagne gold and one of nine different bands, available in leather, metal, and a new mono-link design.
While there’s not much you can do with software on the Moto 360, you can choose a default watch face from one of eleven on offer. As always though, you can change watch face quite easily using the other watch faces that come standard on Android Wear.
At this stage Moto Maker is still a US-only offering but with the proximity to Australia of the Moto Maker factory, which is based in Shenzhen, China, we can live in hope. You can try it out now, but at this stage you can’t order one without jumping through a fair few hoops.
How can I get the us version of the Moto 360 after customising it to Australia?
Why are you posting an article about yet another US only thing which is odds on never to make it legit to Australia?
Where/when will be be able to buy that awesome mono link band in Aus? Just the band?
