mX – News Corp’s free paper you tend to find at your local city train station or bus interchanges in the afternoon – has updated its app to version 3.0.0, bringing with it a new look and feel.

The update is rolling out now, bringing a new interface design that mX says has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. While it’s still not a native Android UI, it’s bringing some new and features.

A list of the new features include:

  • Real time Talk updates including Overheard, Vent your spleen, Here’s looking at you and Lost in love;
  • Submit Talk messages live;
  • Latest from mX sections you love – news, Weird, Goss & glam, sport, entertainment and our brand new travel section, Wanderlust;
  • Find out if you really should get out of bed tomorrow with our daily horoscope;
  • The latest videos and picture galleries bringing you news, sport, LOLs and WTF moments you’ll want to replay over and over;
  • Access to the best mX competitions;
  • Share your funnies and ours with your friends on social media

    While the app still isn’t native Android UI, the section indexes do look like a good magazine style UI.
    Do you have any screencaps of actual articles, so we can see how they are set out within the app?

    Agreed that it would be easy for me to install the app on my devices so I could see how articles are formatted in the mx app.
    But you overlooked why I’d be asking for such screencaps to be added to this article. I asked so all Ausdroid readers could see how articles are formatted in the mx app.
