Samsung has announced that its streaming music service Samsung Milk Music will be coming to Australia in its premium variant. This is a paid, subscription based service which costs just $3.99 a month — well below what many other cloud-based music services charge.
Unlike other music services, though, Milk Music doesn’t give you access to an online music library that you can browse and select music from, which is what services like Google Play Music, Spotify, and so on offer. Rather, Milk Music is a premium radio station-type offering, which selects music for you based on genre and preferences. We’ve used it quite a bit on previous Samsung handsets as part of our reviews, and while it might not be to everyone’s tastes, it is nonetheless quite appealing.
In addition to the standard Milk Music service, the Premium service will offer users offline listening, skipping as many songs as you like, no advertisements, and a higher audio quality. These features are on top of the standard service offerings which include access to over 150 genre-based music stations and a Spotlight of specially curated stations.
As you may expect, the service is only available on Samsung’s devices, and the full list of those compatible with the new Milk Music Premium service is as follows:

If you’re keen to try out the service, you can grab the Milk Music app through Samsung’s Galaxy Apps service, or through Google’s Play Store, and the Premium service is available as an offering from within the app.
Went to Google Play to load “Milk” onto my Note 4, but says “not available in your country???? Why is the article on Ausdroid? (My Note is not rooted )
Love Milk service. I use it everyday particularly via my Samsung M7 Multimate Room speaker setup.
Well I get an “unavailable for this device” error so working as expected??? I have a Telstra Note 4 BTW.
