Not content with watches, fridges and crossover tablets, Samsung has also taken the wraps off a new Chromebook today, unveiling the Chromebook 3 at CES 2016 in Las Vegas. Like other Chromebooks before it, Samsung’s Chromebook 3 is designed for use on the road, weighing in at just 2.5 pounds, it’s comfortable to hold and use with improved grip. A reinforced metal body adds durability against drops and spills, for further piece of mind.
Samsung’s new Chromebook 3 will be available from retailers early this year, but until then, we’ll have to make do with the press imagery above, and the specs below:
- 11 hour battery life
- Intel Celeron N3050 CPU with Intel HD Graphics
- 16GB on-board storage
- 2 or 4GB RAM
- Built in WLAN 802.11 AC 2×2 and Bluetooth 4.0
- Built in 720p webcam
- 1 x USB3 and 1 x USB2, HDMI, HP/MIC and MicroSD
Once the dust settles after CES 2016, we’ll be in touch with Samsung for local availability, pricing and more.
Thought that Samsung has withdrawn from the laptop business?
They did. In Australia. Elsewhere, they still sell them from what we saw at CES today.
