Google is changing the way you see shared folders in Google Drive’s web interface in an attempt to make group sharing easier and more transparent.
The main change will be the addition a new “people” icon to shared folders that will show who has access (and what type of access) to the folder you’re looking at. If Link Sharing is on, it’ll also be an easy way to get that link.
The company says the change will reduce the amount of clutter for users, and make sharing folders and docs a much more transparent experience for the owner of the shared items.
