Huawei has announced a follow-up to the Nova and Nova Plus announced at IFA in September last year, bringing dual-cameras and the bold colour choices of the recently released P10/P10 Plus to the Nova series.
The latest phones in the Nova series have only been announced in China so far, so a western announcement may be coming soon. The phones are powered by the octa-core Kirin 659 SoC, 4GB of RAM, rear fingerprint sensor and run Android 7.0 with EMUI 5.1.
Camera wise, Huawei are bring the dual rear camera setup to the Nova series, with both phones featuring a 12MP sensor with 1.25μm pixel, f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 8MP sensor for depth-sensing. According to the source, there’s some sort of optical zoom involved as well. A 20MP front-facing camera will make for great looking selfies too.
Where the phones differ are in the sizes, with the Nova 2 packing a 5″ 1080p display, while the Nova 2 Plus gets a 5.5″ FullHD display. Both will feature 2.5D curved glass display. The Nova 2 will pack a 2950mAh battery, while the Nova 2 Plus jams a 3,340mAh battery inside its larger body.

I bought a Nova 1 for my wife in January from China. It’s a very solid phone. Hope we can buy Nova 2 here.
