Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Street View? Have you ever wanted to go into space? My guess is that a statistically high proportion of people reading this would say hell yeah. Well, now thanks to Google Street View, the crew of the ISS and all of the countries who actually pay to keep that thing up there now you can at least visit space from home.
Launching today on Google Street View you can now float around the ISS in full 360 degree beauty. Zoom between the various modules of the ISS and see how the Astronauts of the ISS live and work. The new story in Street View lets you explore 17 areas of the ISS with information on each of the areas available.
The full post from Astronaut Thomas Pesquet of the European Space Agencies also gives a wonderful account of what it’s like to live and work on the ISS for 6 months. Alternatively you could check out the behind the scenes video on the making of the Street View feature.
