When Huawei released the Mate 9 and the P10 they were bereft of any AI or digital assistant. Eventually Google allowed Google Assistant to work on non-Pixel phones and they improved. Now it seems that Huawei have their own digital assistant in the works with an announcement expected at IFA in Berlin in early September.
Huawei have sent out an image that they have designed to tease and encourage discussion around what an AI means to you. Along with the image doing the rounds (as well as on Twitter), there is mention of Huawei sharing this as Richard Yu, Huawei CEO, prepares his keynote for IFA. The implication is that Mr Yu will announce Huawei’s AI at IFA and that Huawei’s AI will go further than just being a voice assistant. There are a lot of unknowns of course but that is the point of the image, to stimulate discussion on what AI means to you.

It is possible that Huawei’s AI will be more of a digital assistant organising your life into simple steps rather than just offering voice suggestions/answers. What do you make of it?
