Instagram has been killing it with their stories feature, allowing you to create a story throughout the day to share with your followers. Today they’re making it easier to share those stories with your friends.
From today, you can share stories via Direct, essentially messaging a link to a story you want to share with someone. The link will appear in their Direct Inbox, but the story only stays around for the usual length of time, so if they miss it, it disappears as usual.
If you don’t like the thought of someone sharing your Instagram Story, you can opt to not allow sharing via Direct.
Instagram is also adding new tools for brands, allowing them to easily upload new content to be used for Stories into the Ads Manager. The new tool offers a ‘full screen immersive experience’. The tool is cross platform allowing brands to upload stories into Ad Manager to be used across Facebook and Instagram.
If you’re a fan of stories you can now share them with other users which is a fun option. Check it out in Instagram from today.
