On Monday night Huawei’s blink and you’ll miss it product, the EnVizion 360 Camera was “announced” alongside the Mate 10 series of phones.
Initial plans were to bring the EnVizion 360 Camera to Australia later this year for $179 but while those plans are being confirmed with retailers there are other ways you can get one. In the lead up to Christmas Huawei plan to offer the camera as a gift with any Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro purchase.
Huawei are still planning on ranging the camera independent of the Mate 10 phones but are waiting for confirmation on that before any official announcement is made. The EnVizion 360 Camera is not just for the Mate 10 series; it will work with any Android phone that has a USB-C port and runs Android 6.0 and above.
The EnVizion 360 Camera is a 360-degree camera accessory with two 13MP sensors that gives a 360 degree viewing angle and can take pictures with a 5326 x 2688 resolution and record video at 1920 x 960 pixels at 30 frames per second.
At this stage it is unclear whether the gift applies to ALL purchases of a Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, including those purchased on a plan with Optus or Vodafone. As soon as we hear anything more on this offer or any confirmation of independent launch we will let you know.
That would be really cool of them if they do it on all mate 10 phones sold here.
