The integrated home is the focus of many companies at the moment with the rise of digital voice assistants and the connected world. D-Link have several offerings in this space and today have expanded it with the introduction of two new HD Wi-Fi cameras.
The two new cameras introduced by D-Link are the DCS-8000LH Mini HD Wi-Fi Camera and the DCS-8100LH HD 180 Degree Wi-Fi Camera. Both cameras can be connected or controlled by Google Assistant, IFTTT and Amazon Alexa.
The DCS-8000LH Mini HD Wi-Fi Camera
Standing at just 9.7cm tall the DCS-8000LH camera provides 720P video as well as a built-in IR LED giving it 5 metres of night vision (in total darkness). Combined with the compact size, the stylish design and automatic push alert notifications it makes an ideal surreptitious monitoring device.
The DCS-8000LH has a 120 degree wide-angled lens that gives 4x digital zoom and cloud recording which can all be accessed remotely using the new mydlink app on your Android (or iOS) device.
The DCS-8100LH HD 180 Degree Wi-Fi Camera
As the name of the camera suggests the DCS-8100LH has a 720P 180 degree wide-angled field of view which also works with D-Link’s night vision technology. The camera includes sound and motion sensors which can provide push alerts for you as they are tripped.
The DCS-8100LH also has cloud recording which can be accessed from anywhere using the same mydlink app which has the ability to take snapshots and save video clips to your device. It includes Bluetooth setup if required and the same built-in IR LEDs to capture video in up to 5 metres of complete darkness as the DCS-8000LH.
This 180 degree HD camera also offers 4x digital zoom and video streaming with H.264 support.
Both cameras are available now from D-Link and all authorised D-Link retailers for AUD$199.95 (NZ$249.99) for the DCS-8100LH and AUD$149.95 (NZ$179.99) for the DCS-8000LH.
Any info on the ongoing cost of the cloud recording aspect? I couldn’t see anything on the D-Link website.
