For what feels like the fourth or fifth year running, Ausdroid has been a finalist in Australia’s IT Journalism Awards, and this year we’ve been Highly Commended once again. Jason and Neerav attended The Lizzies last night in Sydney and flew the flag for the team, and in the week of our 8th birthday, we’ve been recognised again for the quality of our work.
Having thanked everyone during our 8th Birthday story, I won’t go over old ground again so quickly, but I think this deserves another thank you to our audience (for motivating us to do what we love), to our partners for working with us, to Ausdroid’s team for producing quality content day in and day out for almost 3,000 days straight, and to our friends and families for putting up with us while we do all of this.
Yes, it’s a shame not to have won – though we have a couple of times in years past – but to be highly commended amongst such a competitive crowd is no small task. In this year’s finalists were Ausdroid Media, EFTM.com, Moonshot Podcast (Kristofor Lawson & Andrew Moon), Pickr, Player2.net.au, Progress Bar, Stevivor, Tech Guide, and Vooks, and to come runner-up to Moonshot (congrats, Kris and Andrew) is fantastic.
A big shout out to Phil and his team at Media Connect for a great night out enjoyed by all.
Congratulations boys, well deserved!
