Sony is making it easier for some users to use Google Assistant by rolling out a firmware update to some of their headphones which enables Google Assistant.
The move was announced back at CES in January, and it appears that the first two headphones have begun receiving the firmware update to enable the Google Assistant. The models currently receiving the update are the WH-1000XM2 and WI-1000X, an over-ear headphone and a neckband style earphone.
Once the update is installed, users have the option to switch the Noise Cancel/Ambient Sound Control button to instead trigger the Google Assistant.
At CES Sony announced that this update would also be heading to the WH-H900N and WF-1000X, so keep your eye out for the update to hit those models.
