Google recently announced their intention to re-brand, re-vamp and basically re-jig all their paid Drive storage plans for GSuite users under the Google One brand. The Google One app has arrived in Google Play, but like most Google launches – this one seems to not be available in Australia.

Google One will let you manage your cloud storage across Google Photos, Drive and Gmail, with a range of new plans and pricing structures – including the option to share your online storage with up to five people.

The app itself is saying it’s ‘not available in your country’ for Australians, though it appears that the app is starting to let some users in.

Once you’re able to access the Google One app, you can do a few things with it including:

• Manage your storage plan, which covers Google Drive, Gmail and original quality photos and videos in Google Photos.
• Contact our team of experts with just one tap. If you need help with Google products and services, our team is here for you.
• Access member benefits like Google Play credit and special hotel pricing.
• Share your plan with up to 5 family members, giving everyone more storage plus access to extra benefits.

As well as the base 15GB of free storage users have included with their standard accounts, Google One will offer new tiers for paid storage with Google advising 100GB plans will start at $1.99USD, with 200GB costing $2.99USD and 2TB will be available for $9.99USD per month. Google will also offer storage up to 30TB and Google says that users with an existing 1 TB Drive plans will be upgraded to 2 TB at no extra cost.

We’ll be keeping an eye on the app to check for Australian availability, but so far Google hasn’t advised any rollout schedule for global users.

Wasn’t this for all Google Drive users? I don’t recall anything about G suite in the original posts (I remember looking for it specifically, I have G suite and was wondering when we’d get it too)
