The lead up to the H2 smartphone announcements is heating up with the leak of CAD renders of the upcoming Galaxy Note 9

The leak comes courtesy of Steve Hemmerstoffer through his @onleaks Twitter account and a partnership with 91mobiles. To date, the leaks from this partnership have been fairly accurate, with the source generally being through case makers based in China who are provided Computer Aided Design (CAD) models of devices to ensure cases are accurate when devices launch.

The renders show that the Galaxy Note 9 will be similar to the Galaxy Note 8 with the same dual camera setup on the rear of the phone, though with the fingerprint sensor repositioned underneath similar to the repositioning we saw on the Galaxy S9/S9+ earlier this year.

While the fingerprint sensor position will change, the physical Bixby button remains, located underneath the volume rocker on the left hand side, while a power button remains on the right. Also staying around is the 3.5mm headphone jack which will please many fans of wired headsets, the port will be located on the base of the phone with a USB-C port located in the middle.

In terms of size, the CAD render gives the size of the phone which will include a 6.3″ ‘Infinity Display’ which will be fitted into a body measuring 161.9 x 76.3 mm. The phone will however be slightly thicker than the Note 8 at 8.8mm (the Note 8 is 8.6mm).

Samsung is rumoured to be announcing the Note 9 on August 9th at an event in New York, so we don’t have long to wait before we see the phone in the ‘flesh’.

Is there even much difference between Note and Galaxy S+ ranges these days? Design-wise they look to be getting very similar with the average screen size increasing every year. Other than slightly upgraded specs with the later in the year release I don’t really see the appeal in the Note range of phones any more…

They keep putting the fingerprint sensor too close to the camera module, smudge central.

Yeah , it’s probably ok if you have little hands and fingers , A bit annoying for those of us with big hands .
And while we are airing our gripes , I reckon the actual sensor could have been a tad bigger .

If you have little hands/fingers you probably wont even be able to reach it because it is so high up and it’s not a small phone.

They just can’t seem to find that happy medium ,
    Good thing i have an S8+ ,
    I’m used to it ?.
