Evan Blass leaks a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 render

Another day, and not just another Samsung Galaxy Note 9 leak, but another two Galaxy Note 9 leaks. Both leaks match up in details and confirm a couple of things for us.

First up was our favourite leaker, Evan Blass aka @evleaks, with something that he does best — true product renders. The render he has leaked displays a blue version of the Galaxy Note 9 which shows the small top and bottom front bezels and the new placement of the fingerprint sensor on the rear. The rear of the device is now all one colour as opposed to the Note 8 where the camera was surrounded by black.

There is also the presence of the bright yellow S-pen which is likely to only be specific to this colour sku (note to Samsung: when choosing the review device to send us I would love a blue with yellow s-pen please). Yesterday we saw the Samsung Mobile CEO with a black S-pen for his Galaxy Note 9 so we feel that the S-pen will have different colours depending on the colour variant it is attached to.

Next up overnight was Slashleaks who once again confirmed the location of the fingerprint sensor and the front bezel size. Unfortunately the image of the front shows a smashed front display — not a great advertisement of the durability of the device but then how many devices can survive every fall they experience?

It is still a few weeks away from the Galaxy Note 9 announcement in New York but there doesn’t seem to be much to add when it comes to the design of it. We expect most of the changes to come with software features and hopefully innovations. The new S-pen Bluetooth functionality also has our interest piqued and we look forward to checking it out.
