We know there’s lots of excitement about the upcoming phone from Samsung – whatever it may be – but Vodafone has taken it a step further and announced a registration of interest process on Samsung’s new phone. That is, before the new phone has even been announced.

With the announcement widely anticipated on August 10th, Vodafone are asking would-be customers to get excited today, and register interest online, a full three weeks ahead of the announcement date.

There’s not much to get excited about, really. The link asks customers to leave their details to be contacted by Vodafone once the Note 9 is officially unveiled. I guess this might be useful if you live under a rock and don’t keep track of the announcements yourselves – through sites like Ausdroid I guess – but it shows that the carriers continue to be interested in Samsung’s offerings, and that’s a good thing.

Anyway, if you’re keen on a Note 9 through Vodafone, there’s no harm in registering interest today, and it will no doubt help the carrier make sure they’ve got enough stock to satisfy initial demand.

I can understand why they are doing this
The unlucky ones of us who had the Note 7 would now be coming out of contract soon.
