Optus has today announced a bump for almost all their 24-month post-paid plans, offering double the data for Optus My Plan Plus handset plans and My Plan Flex leasing plans.
The deal is running until October 9th for new and recontracting customers and while it’s obviously a deal associated with the launch of the new iPhones it’s not limited to them.
The deals start at $45 per month on My Plan Plus with 4GB (2GB+2GB) of data, and ramp up from there with both My Plan Plus and My Plan Flex to the $105 p/month plan offering 200GB (100GB+100GB) of data – but unfortunately their $125 plan which has 200GB of data normally isn’t getting doubled.
Optus customers looking to lease a phone can use the My Plan Flex gives Optus customers the flexibility to upgrade to a new device after 12 months for $99 when they return the current phone in good working order and sign up to a new eligible 24-month plan.
Optus Managing Director of Marketing and Product Ben White said,
Optus is committed to offering great value plans at competitive prices, which is why we’ve launched a huge range of generous data offers across the majority of our Postpaid handset plans. We think Optus now has the best value plans in market because we not only offer huge amounts of data which can be used on our superfast national 4G network, but Optus customers can also share this data between plans on the same bill.

I’d hesitate to recommend the lower price plans. Optus routinely have specials around the sweet $40 SIM only point. I took up a recent one 30gb for$32
