Google’s ARCore has brought with it some great apps and functionality this year but it is limited by the number of devices it supports. The new ARCore v1.5 apparently brings with it support for a number of new devices expanding the list of approved devices.

In an APK teardown Android Police have found quite a few new profiles for devices with some of the devices not even announced as yet. A profiles presence within the app does not mean that it is fully functional at this stage but it is a good indication that it should be arriving soon. With Google hoping to expand its AR offerings it is no surprise to see so many new devices added to the supported devices list.

The list of new devices supported includes:

  • ASUS
    • ROG Phone
  • Huawei
    • P20 Lite
    • Mate 10 Pro
    • unknown [HWJKM-H]
    • unknown [HWLYA]
  • Nokia
    • Phoenix [PNX_sprout]
    • Nokia 9 [AOP_sprout]
  • OnePlus
    • OnePlus 6T
  • Razer
    • Razer Phone
  • Samsung
    • Galaxy Note9
    • Galaxy Tab S3
    • Galaxy J5
    • Galaxy J5 Pro
    • Galaxy J7
    • Galaxy J7 (2017)
  • Sony
    • Xperia X
  • Vivo
    • V1809A
    • vivo NEX B
    • vivo X21i

For those with one of the above devices head on over to the Play Store where it will be available in the next few days. For those who are impatient like myself you can grab a copy of it from APK Mirror and start having fun with the vast number of ARCore apps already available.
