In what’s shaping up to be a hectic month for smart phone releases, OnePlus is expected to announce their latest handset on the 17th of October but after several leaks there’s not much left to be announced. There’s even less this morning with two renders leaking overnight.

The renders have come from Roland Quandt over at WinFuture.de who has gotten his hands on renders of the phone in Midnight Black and Mirror Black – technically the same colour, just in two different finishes. The Mirror Black is, as the name suggests a glossier finish with a mirror finish, while Midnight Black features a frosted matte finish on the rear glass that will adorn the rear of both phones.

As you can see we can also view the teardrop notch in the 6.28-inch 2280×1080 resolution AMOLED display. We first saw this notch style on the Oppo R17 Pro announced back in August. That notch is rumoured to contain a 16MP camera sensor, while a dual 16MP+20MP sensor array will be on the rear.

The OnePlus 6T is expected to be running a 6.28-inch 2280×1080 resolution AMOLED display, with a Snapdragon 845 under the hood paired with options for 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of on-board storage.

We’ll know all about what OnePlus has to offer in the 6T when it’s unveiled later this month.

This is nice, I would consider the midnight black because hopefully it would be less slippery and less prone to fingerprints
