If Amazon Prime Video, Stan and Netflix weren’t enough, you can now spend money on the CBS-backed ’10 All Access’ subscription streaming TV service which has launched today in Australia.

After a free 30-day trial, the 10 All Access streaming service will cost $9.99 per month and offers over 7,000 episodes of TV, covering ‘exclusive original series, current and previous seasons of select CBS and 10 shows, classic TV series’. Subscribers will also have the option to access more streaming content including CBSN, CBS News’ 24/7 streaming news service.

Network 10’s chief executive officer Paul Anderson said:

10 All Access gives us a fantastic new avenue to engage audiences with premium entertainment any way they want it. It fits perfectly into the 10 family alongside our broadcast channels, 10, 10 Boss and 10 Peach, our catch-up service 10 Play, and our news and entertainment site 10 Daily. We’ll continue to evolve 10 All Access with more great content to binge on and more product features to enhance the viewing experience. We are just getting started

The service is launching with strong support across all platforms including an online presence for your desktop at tenallaccess.com.au and mobile apps for both Android and iOS. The service also has Android TV and Chromecast support from the get-go.

You can maintain only three simultaneous streams of 10 All Access, meaning if there’s four people in your family attempting to stream a show you’re out of luck. Unlike Stan and Netflix which offer higher tiers allowing for better quality, and more streams if you pay more per month, there appears to be only one tier for 10 All Access.

Update:The quality of streams is also a consideration, and it appears that 10 All Access won’t offer the same UHD experience as the other streaming services do – though at a greater monthly cost. A Channel 10 spokesperson advised Ausdroid ’10 All Access will broadcast programs in high definition whenever available.’

There are some great classic series listed in their catalogue – here’s my chance for an original Macgyver marathon. If you’re interested you can sign up for Ten All Access on the tenallaccess.com.au website.

Hmm I wonder if American Gothic is the classic old series that was on after X-Files back in the 90s… I imagine so, seeing it was a Ch10 show.

Millennium was fantastic, and still holds up to this day. American Gothic, not so much, but it still holds a place in my heart :).

    …someone’s at the door…

    My name’s Sheriff Buck.. That’s “Buck”… with a “B”…

Nothing to see here that we haven’t already seen, YAWN!! What’s worse is that they expect payment to watch this trash.

Paul, you should pay for your content. If it’s watched, then it’s worth watching, and should be paid for.

@Les – I do pay for content I want to watch. Subscriptions with Foxtel, Stan and Netflix. I’m not adverse to paying to watch content but it has to be worth spending the money in the first place!
