Australia and New Zealand’s largest non-bank lender Latitude Financial Services has soft launched an Android app for it’s 2.6+ million customers.
Currently the Latitude app supports the majority of Latitude’s credit card range, including 28 Degrees Platinum Mastercard, Gem Visa, Latitude Infinity and CreditLine.
The difference between the Latitude App and the Online Service Centre (OSC) for your Latitude-issued card is that the OSC currently has more features but the app lets you see transactions and pay off all your Latitude cards in one place.
Also if you have a Latitude issued credit card you’ll need to create a Latitude ID and password to use their new app because currently their cards have different Online Service Centre website logins.
For each card you add to the app you’ll need to enter your date of birth and card number.
Once that’s done you can login to the app by entering your ID and password or using your fingerprint. The iOS version of the app allows FaceID login but that isn’t available for the Android app.
Since their most popular 28 Degrees card is heavily used by travelers it’s good to see that Latitude says you can access the app from anywhere in the world as long as your phone has internet connectivity. It’s unclear what would happen if you change to a local SIM while overseas. Some bank mobile apps don’t like that.
Some app features that would be useful are the addition of rewards point balance, more details for pending transactions beyond the date and dollar amount and the option to get instant app notifications for all transactions which would be handy while travelling.

Just added my 28 Degrees card in, it was a bit disappointing. Lets hope they add extra functionality soon.
About bloody time!
