It’s Baaaack. After accidentally (we assume) killing off the weather information in their At A Glance widget, Google has fixed the issue overnight, with weather starting to flow through.

While the widget is aimed at Pixel users, many developers build the widget into their own builds as a handy tool to get all your weather, calendar, flight and traffic information – oh, and the time – delivered in a glanceable widget.

The issue with missing weather from the widget first surfaced over the weekend, with v9.02 of the Google App which rolled out to users on the Beta channel the culprit. Overnight, v9.0.4.21 of the Google app (Beta) is now rolling out and the weather information is back.

Once you’ve updated to the latest version of the Google App, if you’re still not seeing the weather data simply go into Settings > Apps > and find the Google App and clear your cache and storage for the app and it should return post haste.

While it was inconvenient for a couple of days (and easily fixable by opting out of the Beta), this is the price you pay for living on the Beta track.
