After launching the nearly $3,500 Wear OS packing Tambour Horizon smart watch back in 2017, Louis Vuitton has today announced a refresh of the watch now with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor and a new look.
The move to a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor isn’t surprising with the luxury fashion brand called out in the press release for the processor when it launched last year. The 42.9mm case will be water resistant up to 30 metres and available in a number of options including polished steel, matte black PVD, white ceramic, white ceramic with gem-set horns, and matte brown PVD according to Droid-Life, and come with a 1.2″ 390×390 resolution AMOLED display.
Internally the Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor will be paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage and a 300mAh battery. The watch will also support Google Pay with the inclusion of NFC. The watch appears to be mainly fashion focused with no heart rate sensor or GPS connectivity.
There’s no launch date or pricing availability announced as yet, and the Louis Vuitton Australia website is still showing the older model currently. If the previous model is anything to go by the new Tambour Horizon Wear OS watch will be quite the expensive option for your wrist.
