OPPO brought back the Find moniker from a long hibernation last year with a device that was well fitting the Find name- the Find X. Find devices have always been devices that were cutting edge with some of the most innovative hardware and the Find X was no exception.
After the amazing hardware that appeared in the Find X last year we are waiting to see what OPPO bring to the table this year. So far we have seen very few leaks or rumours of it, until today when the name of it has been revealed. Today OPPO trademarked the Find Z name with the European Union’s Intellectual Property Office which of course is most likely the successor to the Find X.
Add to that leak an appearance of an OPPO device running on a Snapdragon 855 processor on a benchmarking website and you have OPPO’s next innovative game changer. It is unknown just what OPPO will bring to the Find Z but it is possible that their new 10x optical zoom will make an appearance as well as the full screen fingerprint sensor, expected to arrive on earlier devices in the next couple of months.
As the Find X was last year, we expect the Find Z to be announced towards the middle of the year (the Find X was announced in Paris on June 18, 2018) with its own special event but are hoping to catch a glimpse of it behind the scenes at MWC. If OPPO bring the same level of innovation and finish to the Find Z as they did the Find X I have no doubt that with a little bit of software tweaking and an NFC chip they could match it with any device out there.
OPPO are really moving ahead in the smartphone market in recent years and we expect that continue as they keep producing great phones at reasonable prices. Would you be interested in a premium OPPO device such as the Find Z?
