Huawei set the smartphone world alight last year when they released the P20 series of phones. The cameras on them were far superior to anything we had ever seen before on a smartphone. After producing a very similar camera with little to no improvement in the Mate 20 Pro everyone is watching to see what they do this year with the P30 series phones.

Overnight case manufacturer Spigen has revealed its cases for the P30 and P30 Pro and of course if you are going to show a case it is no good without showing how the phone looks inside it. We thus get a view of the P30 series phones, with cases, including totally transparent cases.

Both phones will have a teardrop style notch with a single front-facing camera and minimal bezels all around. The P30 shows off its triple rear camera setup while the P30 Pro reveals its quad camera vertical setup and location. There is no fingerprint sensor anywhere in sight suggesting that both phones this time will have an in-display fingerprint sensor.

As is often the case with renders, the date displayed on the phone subtly reveals the date for announcement. This time the P30 phones both display March 28 — we have seen leaks suggesting the phone will be released in Paris towards the end of March so this fits nicely.

Huawei look to be sticking to their winning formula and have shrunken the notch instead of trying to lose it just yet. Their cameras are now expected to be best in class and we have no doubt this one will be up there again. In around six weeks we will find out all. Anyone looking forward to the Huawei P30 phones?
