Huawei’s P30 Pro is available for pre-order for one more day, so you should get moving if you want to get that bonus Sonos One speaker.
Bonuses aside, the P30 Pro is a really impressive camera that also happens to be a smartphone. I’ve been using mine for about three weeks now, and I still can’t get over the photos it takes.
I’ve never seen a handset do so much with so little light.

But enough gushing. Let’s talk plans.
The P30 Pro is actually the first time a new Huawei handset has been ranged by all major telcos in quite some time. If you’re after a Huawei P30 Pro, you can get one through Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone. Here’s a quick look at what’s on offer.
To start, this is the full range of 24-month P30 Pro plans you can get locally:
Of the above, we’d say the best bang-for-buck deal is Optus’ $95 per month plan. Your hard-earned gets you the phone, 50GB, and the standard Optus fare of unlimited talk and text, an Optus Sport subscription, and data-free music streaming.
If you don’t need quite as much data and would prefer Telstra coverage, we think Big T’s $99 per month plan with 20GB is still a pretty good pick.
Vodafone’s plans are uncharacteristically pricey this time around: you’re looking at over $100 for the cheapest P30 Pro plan, which only includes 6GB. At the same time, Vodafone offers a lot of flexibility. If you get your P30 Pro from Vodafone your plan will be contract-free on the basis that if you want to leave, you can do so at any time without penalty. You’ll just need to pay out the remaining value of your phone.
And if you want to further lower your monthly bill, you can get a discount by bundling your P30 Pro with another family member’s Vodafone plan, or by paying it off over 36 months instead.
No matter who you pre-order with, you’ll get a bonus Sonos One smart speaker valued at $299. Pre-orders run until midnight, with the P30 Pro launching tomorrow.
Or look at JB Hi-Fi $900 of the outright purchase price when you sign up to the $65.00 plan on either the p30 or p30 pro
The revenge of the mods! Sorry I know this is topic adjacent but I’m desperate to get a phone with a clip-on lens, like the Motorola moto z series Hasselblad – anyone got any tips of how to do that while still getting a high spec phone on a decent network. The Z4 is beginning to look a bit mythological 🙁
Or any lit lens add-ons for current flagship devices just as welcomed! Thanks!
