Everything leaks. Google Pixel smartphones are far from the exception with the Pixel 3 being one of the most leaked phones last year. This year the Pixel 3a is no different. Overnight more details have emerged of the new Pixel phones expected to be launched in a weeks time.
YouTuber Brandon Lee managed to get his hands on some photos of the packaging of the Pixel 3a and it reveals some of the specs. He wasn’t the only one with Max J. also revealing specs. As always take these leaks with a certain grain of salt but in saying that most of these match up with previous leaks.
The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will apparently arrive in three colours, ‘Just Black’, Clearly White’ and ‘Purple-ish’ with pricing set to be mid-range with Brandon giving the prices of US$399 and US$479 for the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL respectively. For Australians this is possibly going to land them smack bang in the mid-range but we will have to wait and see on exact pricing and availability.
The specs, according to Max J., will also be mid-range suggested by the Tweets below. Both phones will run Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processors, have FHD+ OLED displays and feature Always-on-Display and Now Playing. The 18W fast charging will also be included for both new Pixel phones.

Oh damn I totally missed that: The Pixel 3a XL comes with a Snapdragon 670 SoC. I'm not sure about the regular 3a but guess it will be the same [but take it with a pinch of salt]

We don’t have long now to wait to see what Google has in store for us with the new Pixel phones. Google have said that something new is coming to the Pixel universe on May 8 (AU time) which is now under a week away so stay tuned to see what else surfaces in the coming days — or you could wait and have a nice surprise on the 8th.
I have bought 4 different models of Nexus and a Pixel 2XL & 3XL and there are many premium features on my phone that I don’t need so I’m excited by the idea of a budget Pixel (it should be called Nexus). I would prefer a plastic body over paying for glass, it’s less fragile and I always keep my Pixel in a case so I don’t see the glass body anyhow.
