It seems Huawei has been working on a new model of P30, with a new device ELE-AL00m appearing on TENAA (the Chinese telecoms regulator).

According to the limited information available on the TENAA website (spotted by TechWeb), the new device features a huge 12GB of RAM. The existing P30 range goes up to a maximum of 8GB RAM, with storage options up to 256GB.

Whether this new P30 is a super flagship P30 to actually be released in other markets remains unclear, especially in light of Huawei’s current troubles.

The P30 series has seen a few updates since launch, including updates adding a dual-view video feature as well as the AR measurement app which uses the time of flight sensor to measure objects in the real world (and surprisingly accurately, too).
