Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 is looking fabulous – going off the latest renders, shown above – with two sizes up to a massive 6.75-inch display. However, tonight’s news isn’t so much about what’s to be announced, but when (and where).
That Samsung has recently opted for New York product launches isn’t news; the Galaxy S10 was announced there earlier this year, and most recent devices have been in the eastern US city too.
It should come as little surprise, then, that there’s reports tonight Samsung will launch the next instalment of the Galaxy Note line in New York too. CNET reports that the launch will take place at an Unpacked event in New York on 7 August, to be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn; the same place – the astute will note – as Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 9 about the same time last year.
This date lines up neatly with the leaked product roadmap from Verizon, which confirms a mid-August retail availability.
What other good news is there? Well, the rumour is Samsung will ditch the Bixby button (thank goodness, right?), and move to a “quad camera” rear setup, comprising three actual cameras and a fourth sensor delivering Time of Flight (ToF) information for funky AR tricks and greater bokeh in photos.
August just doesn’t feel like that far away anymore, so we’re bound to hear much about Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 before they finally tell us about it.
