There’s relatively little left to the imagination with the upcoming Google Pixel 4, after Google took the unusual step in June of confirming the design for its upcoming smartphone.

Not long after, we reported that the Pixel 4 had been seen in the wild, in the lap of some dude riding on the bus (or maybe the tube) in London. Fast forward a month, and it looks as if the Pixel 4 has been snapped again in public, and shared with us by 9to5Google.

As they report:

Sharp-eyed 9to5Google reader Luis spotted the Pixel 4 on London Underground today. While the Made by Google flagship is in a case, the phone is clearly identifiable thanks to the sensor arrangement.

On that case – it’s hideous! It obscures much which makes the Pixel 4 obviously a Pixel 4, and brand recognition is important these days. However, the camera layout makes this very obviously a Pixel 4. It’s likely that this is a generic case not destined for retail, intended purely to disguise the Pixel 4 while it’s being used out in public, but unfortunately that camera layout gives the game away to people who know what to look for.

It’s not the first time Google Pixel devices have been spotted in public before launches; last year’s Pixel 3 was seen in Canada with a fairly ordinary, wide notch which found its way into the final release, and the original Pixel was first spotted before launch in a restaurant.
