Telstra has announced that it is now offering the Nokia 2.2 through its prepaid service for $149.
The Nokia 2.2 is an interesting device, as it has a dedicated Google Assistant button that enables you to use the Assistant in a different way instead of the usual shouting ‘Hey Google’ and also enables you to get AI assisted imaging experiences for more powerful photo capture.
Looking at the spec sheet, you could certainly do a whole lot worse for your buck. In case you have forgotten what the Nokia 2.2 is offering, here is a little rundown for you:

The interesting thing with the Nokia 2.2 is that you can interchange the back cover panel which Nokia call Xpress cover, with Telstra offering an additional Ice Blue coloured backing free with the device and SIM.
One of the main selling points for Nokia are the guaranteed 2 year (and somewhat fast) security and major firmware updates that Nokia offer to all their current devices and this one is no exception.
We will also be putting up a review of the Nokia 2.2 within the next week or so, so keep an eye out for it.
If your interested in purchasing the Nokia 2.2, you can head over to the Telstra website or your local Telstra store today and a reminder the device is locked to the Telstra network, so it might be worth checking out the Telstra unlocking fees here if you plan on using it elsewhere.
The Ice Blue Xpress-On cover is available at Big W stores for $29.
Bought my Nokia 2.2 outright from The Good Guys a few weeks back for $199-will be keen on reading the Ausdroid review when it goes up.
The 2.2 is a great value Nokia!
