With CES starting next week we are going to be seeing a lot of companies announcing new consumer tech products. Of course we will bring as many that are of interest as we can to you but we will be especially keeping an eye out for new Google integrations with LG first to come out firing in this regard.
At CES 2020 LG will introduce a “lineup of soundbars featuring premium quality audio, easy connectivity, smart functionality and sleek designs that integrate perfectly with LG TVs.”
The new soundbars have once again been made in partnership with Meridian Audio to produce a sound with boosted low frequencies, widening the sound stage. The 2020 range of soundbars will also support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
The new soundbars will automatically calibrate themselves to the room tailoring their output to the specific characteristics of the room and will have the ability to upscale conventional file formats to near-studio quality.
Fitting into our purview here at Ausdroid, which is fairly wide ranging these days as all tech is cool, the soundbars come with Google Assistant built into most models. with Google Assistant the soundbars can of course be used to control compatible smart home devices using voice commands.
The 2020 lineup of LG soundbars is designed to bring better sound to more people with great sound, features and support at a relatively affordable price. Australian availability, pricing and specifications are yet to be determined but you can be sure we will be all over them when they are.
Keep an eye out for more CES announcements in the next week both before and during CES 202 which starts January 7 in Las Vegas.
It’s good another company is going to have a shot at making a Google Assistant sound bar.
JBL tried it before, with the Link Bar, but that unit was mediocre relative to its exorbitant price. Hopefully LG can learn from JBL’s mistakes and make something good of this.
