While we’re adding more cameras to the rear of smartphones, why not the front too? Huawei’s latest teaser shows three stars in the upper left of a smartphone outline that could suggest a triple front-facing camera array.
Three front-facing cameras could be a gamechanger for selfie fans – imagine if you could get the quality of a regular camera for normal portraits but the ability to switch to a wide-angle for group shots as well.
A recent leak has described the rear camera array which includes five sensors. A 52-megapixel main sensor, 40-megapixel ultrawide lens, a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a periscope zoom lens with 10x optical zoom and a Time-of-Flight depth sensor.
The new P40 lineup will be officially announced on the 26th of March with three models expected – the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro PE. It is unclear if these models will arrive in Australia remembering that they are sans any Google products.
