Telstra has been offering customers of their broadband and mobile post-paid services bonus data offered to assist them though the COVID-19 social distancing requirements. The initial offer was for Unlimited Broadband for ADSL, NBN and Cable customers and 25 GB of free data for Post-paid mobile customers.
These deals were set to expire but Telstra has announced that they will be extending the offers until 30 June 2020, at this stage. For Broadband customers you don’t need to do anything and if you weren’t already on an unlimited plan you will automatically be upgraded.
If you’re a Telstra post-paid mobile customer then you’ll need to apply here to have the extra data applied to up to 10 accounts. Each allotment of 25GB of data will last up to 30 days, so if you run out before 30 June you can re-apply each month to get more.
Telstra texted us about the deal so it seems they’re being fairly proactive at letting customers know they’re eligible. Also remember that if you are in financial hardship you can ask for no late fees for your Telstra bill, find the details here, and pensioners if Telstra has your pension card registered you will receive unlimited free home phone calls.
The final Telstra offer to be aware of is for customers on JobSeeker, you may be eligible for a $10 discount per month for a single service or up to $20 for multiple services. Apply to Telstra using your Centerlink CRN here.
