Announcements normally only include one or two new devices because manufacturers usually do not want to dilute the announcement hype among too many devices. Samsung though have other ideas for their Unpacked event on August 6 (AEST).
In a post over on the Samsung website TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung has revealed that they’ll be introducing five new power devices at their Galaxy Unpacked event.
These devices deliver on our vision to be the innovator of new mobile experiences that flow seamlessly and continuously wherever we go. They combine power with seamless functionality, whether you’re at work or play, at home or away. In the Next Normal, you will be empowered to live life to the fullest with these devices in your hand (and in your ears, and on your wrist.)
Although the devices aren’t specifically listed reading into the above statement it is not much of a stretch to make a few educated guesses of just what will arrive at the next Samsung event. Based on rumours and leaks seen in recent times we expect Unpacked to feature:
- Galaxy Note 20 series
- Galaxy Z Flip 5G
- Galaxy Z Fold 2
- Galaxy Watch 3
- Galaxy Buds Live
Although rumours have surfaced also for the Galaxy Tab 7 it is expected to not appear at this event instead a bit later on when it is ready for the prime time. We are not sure if the Galaxy Tab 7 would warrant its own announcement though so we could be totally wrong. The three definites we expect though are the Note 20, the Watch 3 and the Buds Live — they fit right in with the statement above.
Samsung are going to have a very busy time at Unpacked it seems with so many devices and new features to be announced. We will bring you all the details along with local availability and pricing information the morning of the event. Make sure you check in here when you wake up to see it all.
