With OnePlus having secured their brand with their flagship line this year they launched the mid-tier Nord, now it seems they have set their sights on the budget tier too. A leak today suggests that OnePlus is working on a US$200 (approximately AU$300) device, the OnePlus Clover.
Little is known about the rumoured device, but it’s expected to be powered by a very budget tier Snapdragon 460 paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It’s rumoured to have a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD display with a massive 6,000mAh battery and 18W undoubtedly fast charging. Camera-wise it will have a 13MP primary and two 2MP ‘auxiliary lenses’.
While the processor would undoubtedly bring some amount of settling, the overall device package for what is a very affordable price rings true to OnePlus’ original philisophy of delivering value for money. Now those at the lower tier of the market may just enjoy the same thing.
Of course, we’re unlikely to see this, or any OnePlus device, officially marketed in Australia but importing such devices is not a huge order for those who want the OnePlus experience.
Would love to see OnePlus bring it officially here.
