OnePlus turned over more than a billion dollars last year thanks to some amazing phones at decent value, undercutting their competitors’ pricing. This year they have already released low, mid and high end phones but don’t forget that at the end of each year they update their ultra-premium flagship with the latest tech.
This year we have seen rumours that there will not be a OnePlus 8T Pro but the OnePlus 8T will receive a significant update, especially given the leaks overnight that show the renders and give some details of the device.
The renders released overnight demonstrate a new camera module on the 8T — something more akin to the Samsung module. The renders are based on “internal schematics and not 3D CADs” which means little with their authenticity. The new camera module looks to house four lenses — 48MP primary lens, 16MP ultrawide, 5MP macro and 2MP depth sensor — along with the LED flash.
The front of the device shows a flat display with a hole punch for the 32MP selfie camera but that is about all that can be inferred from the renders. All the usual speaker grilles, buttons and USB-C port are present in the same place as per the OnePlus 8.
The OnePlus 8 arrived with just 30W wired charging which was a surprise to many given that their sister company OPPO used 65W charging in their flagship and that OnePlus have had 30W charging for several years now. It seems that this new ultra-fast charging will be making it into the OnePlus 8T if the rumour overnight is to be believed. It is not much of a stretch to imply that the updated device will receive this 65W charging given the OPPO Find X2 Pro supports it so we believe it to be true.
The OnePlus 8T is expected to launch in the next month so we will most likely see more leaks in the coming weeks. Stay tuned and while we hope it will launch here we realistically think that if you want one of these you will have to once again import them. Sad face.
What does it matter, they won’t sell it in Australia, apparently too hard for them(utter bulls**t) to support their products here, their phones are cool but buying a phone that has zero local support is no better than burning your cash.

I truly hope they build a “global phone” supporting all common bands around the world.
Their pricing structure for 8/Pro phones with AU freq bands makes them even more expensive than even Top-of-the-range Samsung phones!
I was going to buy 8 Pro, however, I then realised how rare and expensive IN2023 model was so I gave up on the idea.
