D-Link have today expanded their security camera offerings with a new outdoor Wi-Fi camera with some notable upgrades over their previous offerings.
The new DCS-8302LH Full HD Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera features their AI- edge-based person detection that intelligently identifies human motion — and reduces false alarms caused by the wind/trees and/or pets. The new 1080P camera is weather resistant allowing for outdoor installation and includes night vision to allow 24/7 monitoring and recording of its vision.
Included is also a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio and also includes that siren functionality to notify everyone within earshot of an intruder. Each time an intruder is recognised by the AI camera a notification is sent to your smartphone allowing you to then interact with the camera and/or intruder.
The DCS-8302LH can be installed indoors or out and includes all the required mounting options within the box. Although it does support Wi-Fi that is not exclusive with the option to also connect via the Ethernet port on the back of the camera and the ability to continuously record to your NAS or NVR. There is of course the now ubiquitous Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa support.
The DCS-8302LH Full HD Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera is available now from D-Link and authorised D-Link partners/retailers in Australia and NZ for AU$199.95 (NZ$249.99).
Great news to have smart human detection with Ethernet connection! Too bad it’s not PoE (Power over Ethernet 🙁 )
