Samsung is a company that is not necessarily known for updating devices that are over 2 years old but it seems they are looking to change this image, with the company pushing out a major firmware update for Galaxy Note 10+ users, like myself, that brings Android 12 alongside OneUI 4.
The update, which is approximately 2.3GB in size, brings with a variety of updates and improvement alongside updating the firmware to Android 12 that include:
- Privacy and security updates
- More simple camera layout
- Improvements to Photo and Video editor software
- New Widget designs on the Home Screen
- Updates and additional features to Samsung own apps like Health, Calendar, keyboard and more
- Improvements to AR emoji’s
- Alongside many other improvements and enhancements.

The main feature despite the major firmware upgrade to Android 12, is the inclusion of Samsung’s latest OneUI 4 skin, which brings with it the ability to customise your colour palette to your home screens, app draw and app icons and more.
There are also slight updates to how your widgets look on your Home Screen with new kinds of animations for some widgets such as the weather widget on my home screens. There are some mini animations to show the weather alongside the temp and suburb.
As stated, the update is rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ users and to check to see if the update is ready for your device, simply go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
Galaxy S10 is also receiving the Android12/OneUI4 update. My S10 updated last night.
Booo!!!! Note 9 needed this even more since it is stuck with an older UI which DEX is linked to.
