OPPO has announced the launch of its newest A series device in Australia with the OPPO A76, in which the company is touting that its a device that brings cutting edge performance meets style.
The OPPO A76 comes with a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display (1612×720) that is powered by a Qualcomm SDM 680 processor chipset alongside 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can be expanded to 1TB via MicroSD card.
The OPPO A76 is the first A series device to be equipped with OPPO’s SUPERVOOC fast charging technology, allowing users to stay connected wherever they are. A 5-minute charge to its 5000 mAh battery allows for over 3.5 hours talk time.
The OPPO A76 comes with a dual rear camera set up with a 13MP(f/2.0) main camera sensor + 2MP(f/2.4) bokeh camera sensor, whilst the front facing is an 8MP camera located in a “punch hole” in the front display.
In terms of connectivity, the OPPO A76 comes with Bluetooth version 5.0, Wi-Fi Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot and 4G network connectivity, so sadly if you’re after 5G connectivity you’ll probably have to look elsewhere. There is also a fingerprint sensor located on the side build into the standby button.
OPPO Australia’s Managing Director Michael Tran has stated at the launch of the A76 that:
“In today’s digital age, customers’ needs are constantly evolving, and at OPPO, we pride ourselves on building phones which complement their lifestyle. Reliability, performance and ease-of-use are the main themes of the new A76 as we aim to create a device that provides a truly effortless user experience.”
OPPO says the device is made with its proprietary Glow Design, which users will get a visually stunning, sleek and durable smartphone that is smooth to the touch, and fingerprint, scratch and dirt resistant. Available in Glowing Blue or Glowing Black, the A76 comes in new brighter, textured colour options.

Anyone who purchases the OPPO A76, will get a special Gift With Purchase promotion of bonus OPPO Enco W12 Earphones, valued at RRP $99, running across selected retailers for a limited time.
another useless cheap phone lol
I don’t get the desire for 5G. It will likely chew your battery and what is the compelling use case for the extra speed? 5G is still a solution looking for a problem.
I have a Realme 7 5G which is great, but I haven’t enabled 5G on it.
720p screen. Here in Australia, that does not even pass muster as budget, el cheapo, entry level, specs now days Alex. Combo that woefully sub standard screen, with the device being only 4G, and basically the only markets that this hunk of junk might be good enough for are rural China and rural Russia.
Yeah, nah! No 5G is a deal breaker. But a bigger deal breaker is Oppo’s poor update record. I am in the market for a new phone for my daughter but will be looking elsewhere. Could someone point me in the direction of a non-Oppo phone with 5G in a similar price bracket?
