Who is GameSir?

For those who are not familiar with this company, GameSir is a globally recognized brand that offers high-performance gaming peripherals founded in 2010. They aim to provide gamers with cutting-edge hardware to enhance the gaming experience. I personally purchased a GameSir X2 Type-C gaming controller for mobile a year ago, and this is by far the best mobile gaming controller I have ever tried.

On 17 April 2023, GameSir launched their latest RGB gaming controller – T4 Kaleid in London. With their unique motion aim/steer technology, the gaming experience is going to be brought to a whole new level.

Say goodbye to joy-con drift and hello to precise and reliable controls, thanks to the Hall-Effect magnetic sensing joysticks that provide anti-drift technology. The tactile face buttons are expertly tuned for fast and comfortable button presses, The micro-switches reduce travel distance to only 0.6mm, and in-game racing, accelerating, and braking are all intuitive and effortless.

But that’s just the beginning – the T4 Kaleid is equipped with an in-built 6-axis gyro that allows gamers to combine motion inputs like never before. Tilt and rotation are just the tip of the iceberg – with special motion aim/steer tech, FPS and Racing games are more immersive. And with rumble motors that respond to in-game action, the T4 Kaleid offers a truly immersive sensory experience.

Not only does the T4 Kaleid offer top-notch performance, but it also looks great too. With kaleidoscopic lights that can be set to your preferences, the exterior of the controller is a feast for the eyes. And with the GameSir T4K App software, gamers can fine-tune their controller settings to their exact liking. Adjust keyframe, speed, and brightness to suit any game, and with the multi-function M button, controlling settings across platforms has never been easier.

Tech specifications

GameSir T4 Kaleid is a wired gaming controller with a 2-metre detachable USB-C cable. It works on Windows 10 and 11, Nintendo Switch as well as Android 8.0 and above. GameSir claims the ABXY buttons have a long endurance for up to 5 million clicks! There is also a 3.5mm audio jack and capture button, as well as other additional buttons you would expect from an ‘elite’ level gaming controller.

Availability

The GameSir T4 Kaleid is available on the GameSir now at a discounted price of £38 (RRP £47.99), and AliExpress for £37/$43 (AU$64 at the time of publishing). It will also be available on Amazon.com and Amazon UK at the end of April for $41.99/£41.99/€57.99 (AU$62.52 at the time of publishing).

This, looks like, a great controller for PC and Nintendo Switch gaming, but it’s not one I’d want to use for either.
As a Switch controller, its ABXY buttons are not in the Switch layout.
A PC controller doesn’t have or use Switch specific buttons.
If GameSir were to release Switch specific and PC specific versions of this controller, then those would be definitely worth getting.
