Amazon has launched the Echo Spot, the newest addition to its Alexa-enabled device range. This innovative smart alarm clock, designed with a sleek look, offers a variety of custom clock faces and vibrant colors, making it a perfect fit for any bedside table.
Patrick Walker, Country Manager for Amazon Devices in Australia and New Zealand, stated,
“Customers care about the way they wake up in the morning and go to bed at night. The all-new Echo Spot will transform the way they start and end their day.”
He emphasised the device’s customisable features, such as clock faces, personalised designs, new alarm sounds, and colorful visual animations.
The Echo Spot’s display showcases a range of custom-designed clock faces, visual animations, and colors. Users can set alarms, check the weather, or see song titles at a glance. The device allows users to set alarms with specific sounds, like soft jazz, and features four new exclusive alarm sounds: Aurora, Daybreak, Endeavor, and Flutter. Additionally, users can snooze alarms by tapping the device.
Equipped with a 1.73″ front-firing directional speaker, the Echo Spot delivers clear vocals and deep bass. It supports music streaming from popular providers like Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Audible. It can also connect to compatible smart home products and run Alexa Routines to automate daily tasks.
Alexa can place audio calls, make household announcements, and interact with other Alexa-enabled devices. The Echo Spot also emphasizes privacy with features like a microphone on/off button and the ability to view and delete voice recordings.
