Amazon-owned Blink has officially launched its smart home security cameras in Australia offering affordable and feature-rich solutions for local customers. The product line includes the Blink Outdoor 4 and Blink Mini 2, available for purchase at Bunnings Warehouse and Amazon.com.au.
The Blink Outdoor 4, powered by Blink’s custom chip, boasts up to two years of battery life with just two AA batteries. It offers HD video, motion detection, infrared night vision, and two-way audio. Pricing for the Outdoor 4 starts at AU$149 and comes in packs of one to five cameras, bundled with the Blink Sync Module 2, which allows local storage for recorded events.
The compact Blink Mini 2, starting at AU$69, features 1080p HD video, a built-in LED spotlight, and weather resistance with the optional Blink Weather Resistant Power Adaptor for AU$19. The Mini 2 can be used indoors or outdoors and is available in one- or two-camera packs.
With local research indicating that 83% of Australians are interested in home security but face cost-related barriers, Blink offers an affordable solution. Mark Fletcher, Blink Managing Director, APAC, highlighted that these cameras provide accessible security options during challenging economic times.
In addition to the hardware, Blink offers subscription plans that start from AU$5 per month, providing cloud storage and advanced features such as person detection.
